Since I was a teenager, some 35 years ago, Nana came to me on the Canadian Broadcasting Network evening special from the Olympia in France, and I have followed her music ever since. Her voice captivates and her choice of music fulfills the heartstrings we as human beings crave to make meaningful. Still, the voice of Nana brings love to the words love songs express, and fun to the lively songs she shares, but always, her voice is the most beautiful, and her vocal sounds the most dynamic. For the meaning Nana puts to her songs, I remain grateful, but for the dynamics of sound she brings to her songs, I remain in awe. This singer is so great, and I believe many know this, and we all thank Nana for sharing her wonderful talent, her beautiful voice. (Should she get a chance once more, it would be great to see Nana in western Canada....Calgary or Kelowna perhaps?) Happy 2005 tour to my great singer Nana Mouskouri! |

If you have not heard her sing yet you trully are missing a treat, she is absolutley superb, divine and the most talented female singer this century:-) Nana can sing the most sexy, smooth jazz, the trully divine classices, and throws in some great country,f folk and gospel too, and to top it all she can sing in as many as 16 difrent languages i think that's right isn't it? I was also lucky to bump into her and Andre as they arrived in to the artis's entrance on Friday. I shook hands with Andre and said hello to Nana and told her that I've got lots of records at home and I'm from New Zealand. The chorus goes like this "Je suis une vague, je suis nee sur une plage, d'Italie, par un beau matin d'ete. Mes debuts furent difficile, je n'etais pas tres docile, j'ai du pris mal ame supporte. Ma mere, ma mere, je regrette, cette petite plage deserte ,ou les enfants s'amusaient de moi. Mais un soir de grand orage, je suis parti a la nage. Moi, qui ne savait pas bien nager... | Comments: | I enjoyed immensely Nana Mouskouri's Melbourne concert on Wednesday 14th March, 2001. It was a fantastic night. For the first time in my life, I caught a glimpse of the persona of Nana. Her daughter is also a fine performer. I liked the way they exchanged costumes during intermission. I have quite a large number of her CDs and cassette tapes. Many of her latest CDs are difficult to obtain here and have to be imported from a German distributer. My Mum also went to the concert. Her mother, my late grandmother, was also a fan of hers. Nana has such a strong, resounding voice which makes her unique in the music entertainment industry. We are also very supportive of the work she undertakes for UNICEF. |

He is Mike Rustici and he was at the same concert as I - Bournemouth Pavilion October 19th - though we did not know it at the time. She was, as ever, brilliant, though I would have liked to see and hear her duetting with her daughter. On the previous occasions I've seen them, they were excellent. I was unaware of some of the other places she is visiting in UK so I have missed out on further enjoyment. Now that I have found you, I should be better informed.
