A couple of days later, when Paco, and I couldn't live without each other, he told me: "Hey a guy (my friend Gastón) sent me a song of a girl - she sings very nicely, and in the middle of the song they sing Huapango" (he meant "Voici le mois de may" live at The Albert Hall. Huapango, is a style of mexican folk music) and well.... what can I say, I loved it, and I wanted to know who Nana Mouskouri was!!! I checked but, I didn't care too much, I just saw a pic and that was all, but, in May, Paco travelled to Venezuela, and I couldn't speak to him no more and I felt so alone. I noticed the first song that Paco, sent me, (and he also send me many more: Like "Malagueña Salerosa", and "Yesterday" and I also sent a message to Nana, just thanking her), I mean "Voici le mois de may", had disappeared!!! I downloaded it again.... that day was May 24, the day I became a fan!! I searched out everything of Nana's life, and I said "she is the woman I want to become someday! " I don't want to make this too long.... the only thing I can say is: she saved me from getting worse with Anorexia, and many other illnesses I had because I wanted to be thin - she took me towards the right way!! And I'm very HAPPY, meeting Renata, Paco, Maryse, Athula and Nana! THANK YOU VERY MUCH NANA! I LOVE YOU!!!!!! Love, Liliana ****************************************** Era un día de marzo, no me acuerdo exactamente qué día pero estaba navegando en internet en un sitio llamado folklorico.com, es un sitio donde la gente que baila música folklórica mexicana pueden expresarse y decir cualquier cosa y yo comenzaba mis estudios de música folklórica mexicana y decidí entrar y postear un comentario de una cantante mexicana llamada Lila Downs y Paco me contestó y ese fue el comienzo de una amistad hermosa, unos días después, cuando Paco y yo ya no podíamos vivir el uno sin el otro, él me dijo: Oye, un muchacho (mi ya amigo, Gastón) me mandó una canción de una muchacha que canta muy bien y en la mitad de la canción cantan un Huapango (se refería a "Voici le mois de Mai" en vivo en Albert Hall y Huapango es música folklórica mexicana) y bueno, qué puedo decir, me encantó y quería saber quién era Nana Mouskouri y busqué algo pero no me importó mucho, sólo vi una foto y eso fue todo, pero, en mayo, Paco viajó a Venezuela y no pude hablar con él, y estaba tan sola y me di cuenta que la canción que Paco me había mandado (y también me había mandado más como "Malagueña Salerosa" y "Yesterday", yo también le mandé un mail a Nana agradeciéndole) me refiero "Voici le mois de Mai" había desaparecido!!! Y la bajé otra vez, ese día fue el 24 de mayo, el día en que me hice fan, busqué todo de la vida de Nana y dije "Ella es la mujer en la que yo me quiero convertir algún día". No quiero hacer esto más largo, lo único que digo es que, ella me salvó de ponerme peor de anorexia y otras enfermedades que tuve porque quería ser delgada, ella me guió por el buen camino y ahora soy muy feliz conociendo a Renata, Paco, Maryse, Athula y a Nana! Gracias muchas gracias Nana, te quiero!!!! |
Well, I'll tell you my story..... It was a March day, I don't remember exactly the day, but I was looking around a web site called 'folklorico.com' - it is a site where mexican folk dancers, could express themselves, and say anything, and as I was at the beginning of my Mexican folk dancing studies, I decided to get in and I posted, a comment, about a Mexican singer called Lila Downs, and Paco, answered me, and that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
