Timeless singer, timeless songs

"Music for me was like
many rainbows, filled
with many, many colours."

Concerts

Review of Nana's concert at Michael Fowler Ctr, Wellington, Thursday 1 September, 2005 at 8 pm - Michele, Wellington, New Zealand

It was lovely to see Nana back in Wellington again after a 20 year absence. It was the first time here for her Band members. The first half of the concert was soothing and it brought back memories for some people from her earlier years on t.v. She finished the first half of the concert with the magnificent "Le Ciel est Noir".

The second half was even more magical. She said she was fond of all the musicals that she grew up with, and pretended to be various people. She said she could sing all of those old songs at concert but "we'll be here all night"! I said to my friend "we don't mind, do we!" The music was more lively in the second half.

The Cocktail reception afterwards was good and Nana was great as always. She gave a speech for a few minutes on UNICEF's work and where she is at in this wonderful mission. And then, in turn we relaxed and had a few words with her, along with autographs and/or photos. I got a fabulous one with her and it's going on the wall in a frame. We enjoyed Nana's company for half an hour.
